Up on Dunstable Downs – Easter Walk, March 2016

The beacon

Being a city cat who had had enough of the ‘cat race’ for a while, Tipsy decided that it was time to dust off the cobwebs and get some Version 2air into her lungs and whiskers, so we set off for the Chilterns and a bracing springtime walk on the Dunstable Downs.  Just over an hour away from London, it’s the perfect getaway for a spot of green-ness and countrification.

The National Trust has a great set of downloadable walks and we opted for the easiest which took us to the Five Knolls along the highest part of the Chilterns.  It was a glorious day, with blue skies, fluffy clouds, and the right kind of wind for the gliders, paragliders and kite fliers to get airborne, all – great to watch, pass the time, and unwind.

Paws on the ground

Tipsy did consider it, but decided to keep her paws on the ground – for now at any rate.
